A drive-in racking is designed to connect several rows of conventional racks and have dedicated driveways.
Its configuration may be the back-to-back installation of two sets of drive-in racks or the wall-to-wall installation of a single set of drive-in racks.
Forklifts access and exit via the same driveways. Goods are stored from the inside out in order while picked from the outside in.
The storage density is very high but the goods can’t be picked on a first-in-first-out basis.
It is applicable for raw material or transit warehouses with periodic batch operations and frequent material storage and pickup.
